While I have no nannying references to put on a resume, I have nurtured children starting at the tender age of 11 when my baby sister was born. I discovered early on how to make learning fun and engaging. I marveled at my own sense of wonder about the world around me and happily help instill and/or foster it in others. My educational philosophy was shaped by mother's huge heart and my father's career as a high school government teacher. I visited his class as a child and saw how interested the students were in what he was saying. I was amazed that some even stayed after class to engage in further discussion. My young ears could not discern the weightiness of the conversation, but I knew my father must be saying something important and I was proud of others wanting to listen to him. It steered me in the direction of my own occupational choice. My teaching career has been illustrious and my students would vouch for me that I am an outstanding, humorous, warm, intelligent, committed, and, most importantly, a very loving educator. My experiences as a parent, grandparent, foster mom, and teacher (kindergarten, 2nd grade and middle school) make me an excellent choice to consider for caring for your own children. And don't let my age scare you!:) I am very fit! I can even lift my 5 year old grandson high up into the air when he runs to hug me!
